Jennifer Sawatzky

PT, BSc, MScPT

Jennifer graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy as part of the class of 2021. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2009, also from the University of Alberta. In between degrees, she worked as a Therapy Assistant in acute care for over six years.

Jennifer enjoys working with a wide variety of client populations, and has worked with patients in various settings including private practice, acute care and home care. She has a strong interest in hand therapy, and hopes to become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in the future. In addition to the clinic, Jennifer also works in acute care, working with orthopedic surgery patients.

Jennifer believes in incorporating education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise into treatments, and aims to make the patient an active participant in the treatment plan. She believes that no two patients are exactly alike and that an individualized approach to treatment is the best way to help patients achieve their rehab goals.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys being active, particularly spinning and taking fitness classes including yoga and Tabata. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dog Zeus. A big sports fan, especially the NFL and the NBA, Jennifer also loves going to the movies and reading, and tries to read at least one book per month.
