Debbie Yuen

Debbie graduated and practised as a registered Physiotherapist in Hong Kong, China before she came to Canada in 1990 and has been practising as a registered Physiotherapist in Alberta, Canada since then. She completed the Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from University of Alberta in 1994. She has been authorized to do needling on clients by the College of Physical Therapist of Alberta since 1995. She was also a registered Massage Therapist with the City of Edmonton from 1996 to 2019 and the clinic owner of Advance Physiotherapy & Rehab Center in Edmonton, Alberta for 14 years till 2014.

With the continuation of her lifelong path of learning, she has worked in various acute, subacute, rehabilitation and long term care hospital, outpatient and private practice settings. She is currently employed part time at Advanced Health and Hand Clinic and part time at a long term care facility treating young adults.

Beside English, Debbie treats clients who speak Cantonese and Mandarin. She is interested in treating a wide variety of conditions and different age groups such as musculoskeletal injuries ( sports, MVA and WCB), pre and post – natal and surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain condition, vertigo and even babies with torticollis.

Debbie takes a full body approach and customizes her client’s treatment with traditional physiotherapy treatment, acupuncture, auricular therapy, acupressure, dry needling, self pain and health management.

Outside of work, she is a wife and mother of two lovely adult children. Debbie enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
