Austin Pinnell

BSc, MScPT

Austin completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with a minor in Psychology, at the University of Victoria, followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at the University of Alberta.

During his clinical training, Austin worked with a wide range of patients across musculoskeletal, neurological, acute care, cardiac, and outpatient settings. He has a strong interest in upper-extremity and hand rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, and sport-related injuries. As a lifelong athlete who has also spent a great deal of time as a physiotherapy patient, Austin brings both professional knowledge and personal experience to his care. He takes a practical,
patient-centred approach, focusing on clear explanations, hands-on treatment, personalized exercise programs, and helping people safely return to the activities they enjoy.

Outside of the clinic, Austin is an active rugby and soccer player and has competed in international rugby and provincial-level soccer. These experiences give him a real-world understanding of training demands, injury recovery, and long-term performance. In his free time, he enjoys staying active outdoors through camping and hiking, as well as keeping busy with fun, active pursuits and spending time with friends over board games.
